There are two investment options available for citizenship in Vanuatu:

1. Investment in the National Development Fund: $130,000 per investor, $180,000 per family of four. This is a non-refundable investment that will be used to develop Vanuatu.

2. Investment in the Coconut Oil Innovation Fund: $157,000 per family of up to four. You can expect a partial return on your investment after 5 years of holding the asset.

Vanuatu Citizenship Process

    In order to participate in the Vanuatu program, an applicant must:
    - Be over 18 years of age
    - Have no criminal records, or be political exposed: a relevant police clearance certificate from the home country and country of residency must be obtained
    The main applicant may add their spouse, children under the ages of 30, parents and grandparents to the application as dependents. There are family packages available.
  • Applicant(s) pre-approval
    After signing on an agreement, applicant(s) must make the first payment, provide a copy of their passport and a certificate of no criminal record. Verification is done by an FIU of the Vanuatu Government. Verification takes from 1 to 2 weeks.
  • Obtaining a pre-approval and preparation of documentation
    Applicant(s) submits the documents required to participate in the program after receiving pre-approval from the FIU. Vanuatu Passport Officials will help to prepare the application for submission and check each document for compliance with the requirements of the program.
  • Submission
    After making the appropriate payment, the application is submitted to the Vanuatu Government. The Citizenship Commission meeting takes place bi-monthly after which approved applications are given an Approval-in-Principle letter.
  • Receiving the Vanuatu passport
    Upon receiving the Approval-in-Principle letter and proceeding with the final payment, the passport and Certificate of Citizenship is couriered either directly from Vanuatu to the client’s place of residence or can be picked up in person from our Dubai office. Your new passport provides a range of opportunities for tax optimization and capital preservation. Citizenship is issued for life and can be passed down to future generations. Passport renewal is every 10 years.
